Mathemight, an intercollegiate academic event, is a glorious and regular feature of the Department of Mathematics.

The event was launched in the year 2003. The shift, from knowledge based education to skill based education, motivated the faculty of Mathematics to organize this event under the sponsorship of UGC.

The objective of the event is to provide a platform to students of Mathematics to appreciate and show case the 'Surprises in Mathematics' and look deeper into their application.

Over the years Mathemight 1, Mathemight 2, Mathemight 3, Mathemight 4, Mathemight 5 & Mathemight 6 were organized. Participation from various colleges of Mumbai increased steadily, and the event was well appreciated by lovers of the subject and media. This event not only facilitates learning beyond classroom teaching but also helps build organizational skill among students.

Highlight of the event is paper presentation by undergraduate students of Mathematics on the theme "Surprises in mathematics and their applications."

Other features of Mathemight include episodes like quiz competition, research poster competition, popular lectures by eminent mathematicians, panel discussion, mathematical treasure hunt etc.
